LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) — The Nebraska State Board of Education and Education Department are seeking the public’s input on newly revised state English language arts standards.
Public comment will be accepted on Tuesday at public sessions at seven sites across the state: Ainsworth, Kearney, Lincoln, North Platte, Omaha, Scottsbluff and Wakefield.
Educators, parents and others are encouraged to weigh in on the draft standards, available at http://www.education.ne.gov/StandardsSurvey/index.html .

The standards are intended meet rigorous K-12 academic standards to prepare Nebraska students for college and careers.
