Sergeant: 6 Injured in 2-Vehicle Nebraska Crash

state-patrol-logoLINCOLN, Neb. (AP) — Nebraska officials say two women were seriously injured in a two-car vehicle collision that hospitalized six people.

Nebraska State Patrol Sgt. Timothy Salmen says a distracted driver lost control Tuesday night on Interstate 80 near Lincoln. He says the driver’s car crossed the median and was broad-sided by a truck.

Two women on the passenger side of the car were seriously injured and taken to the Bryan West Campus in Lincoln. Four other people were taken to the hospital with minor injuries. Their condition is unknown.

Salmen says all passengers were wearing seatbelts. He says the accident is under investigation.
