At around 7:00 p.m., on August 12, an officer with the North Platte Police Department was on patrol when he observed a vehicle, being driven by 31-year-old Chrystal Lowe, in the 200 block of West 9th Street.
According to Officer Rodney Brown, the officer had knowledge that Lowe’s driver’s license was suspended. After confirming the license suspension, the officer conducted a traffic stop.
During the stop, Lowe consented to a voluntary search which led to the discovery of multiple types of prescription drugs for which she did not have a prescription.
Following further investigation, Lowe was arrested and charged with felony possession of a controlled substance-Clonazepam, and four counts of possession of a legend drug, or drugs requiring a prescription. She was also cited for driving under suspension.
Lowe was jailed at the Lincoln County Detention Center.
