OMAHA, Neb. (AP) — Omaha police say they’ve arrested a man who shot and critically injured a man in a park.
Officer Michael Pecha says 23-year-old Carl Johnson Jr. was arrested Sunday for the Saturday shooting at Orchard Park. He is charged with first-degree felony assault and use of a weapon to commit a felony in the shooting of 23-year-old Josh Hintz.
Police say Hintz was shot during an argument involving a large group of people. They say Hintz was critically injured and taken to Creighton University Medical Center.
A hospital spokesman told the Omaha World-Herald Sunday that no information about Hintz’s condition was being released.
Online jail records didn’t indicate an attorney for Johnson.
