NPCC Student Check-In Set for Saturday

npccStudent move-in day at North Platte Community College is set for Saturday, Aug. 23.

According to Janelle Higgins, NPCC Dean of Student Life, students in Pod One will move in from 8 to 10 a.m.; Pod Two from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.; Pod Three from 12 to 2 p.m.; and North Campus students from 2 to 4 p.m.

Higgins said that members of the NPCC Lady Knights volleyball team have already moved on campus and Resident Life student staff members have also moved in and begun their training.

“Our Student Life staff is getting excited to have students back on campus,” Higgins said.

The North Campus Welcome Center will be open as usual from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m., however the South Campus Welcome Center will have extended hours from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and additional staff will be available from noon to 4 p.m.

The Student Success Center will be open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday and from 12 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 24, for compass testing and use of computers. A variety of North Platte area businesses and organizations will also have a “Community Fair” to welcome NPCC students from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the South Campus of the college.
