Dorothy Maxine Kirsch, 95, of North Platte, passed away August 20, 2014 at Linden Court. She was born May 27, 1919 at Anselmo, NE to Lawrence James and Josephine Marie (Snyder) Foran. She grew up north east of Arnold on a farm and attended school at Pleasant Hill. She was united in marriage to John A. Kirsch on May 12, 1941 at Ord, NE. John passed away December 4, 1997. They lived most of their married life in North Platte and three years in Hawthorne, CA. Maxine enjoyed gardening and flowers. She was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church. She is survived by her grandchildren, Sara J. (Carl) deSoto and Randy L. Kirsch; two great grandsons, Llywellyn and Aiden deSoto; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John; a son, Larry; sisters, Frances and Mary; brothers, Glenn, Raymond, Lyle and Bill. Burial will be at Floral Lawns Memorial Gardens. Rosary will be 9:30 a.m. Saturday prior to services. Visitation will be from 8:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Carpenter Memorial Chapel, which is in charge of arrangements.
