LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) — Living history demonstrations by re-enactors are scheduled for Labor Day weekend at Fort Kearny State Historical Park and Indian Cave State Park.
Fort Kearny will feature a daily cannon firing at 2 p.m., as well as re-enactors in a soldiers camp, as well as demonstrations of many trades. On Monday Charlotte Endorf will portray Annie Oakley at 1:15 p.m. and following the cannon firing.

Indian Cave park will have guided horseback trail rides and living history demonstrations. Movies will be screened at the outdoor amphitheater, and the Pioneer Longrifles Gun Club will hold its rendezvous all weekend. An evening fish fry will be held on Saturday, followed by fireworks.
