Big Springs Man Busted Selling Stolen Goods in NP

A Big Springs man is facing a felony charge after he allegedly attempted to sell stolen goods to an undercover cop in North Platte.

On August 25, the North Platte Police Department initiated an investigation after receiving information from the Sidney Police Department that 26-year-old Stephen Barber had six stolen diesel fuel injectors in his possession that were valued at around $4,110.

Sidney Police alleged that Barber had stolen the fuel injectors from Maddox Motors of Sidney.

Police say on August 22, Barber contacted employees at Ag & Auto Diesel, in North Platte, and attempted to sell the fuel injectors.

On August 26, an undercover investigator met with Barber at Ag & Auto Diesel, where Barber allegedly attempted to sell the injectors for $2,000.

Barber was taken into custody and charged with felony possession of stolen property.

He was jailed at the Lincoln County Detention Center.
