Omaha Man Won’t Be Charged in Shooting of Intruder

crime-scene-police-shootOMAHA, Neb. (AP) — No charges will be filed against an Omaha resident man who police say fatally shot a man who was trying to break into the resident’s home.

Douglas County Attorney Don Kleine says Monday morning’s shooting by 48-year-old Larry Rohatsch was justified.

Police say officers who were called to the home found 48-year-old Darrell Miller on a porch with two gunshot wounds. Miller was pronounced dead at an Omaha hospital.

Kleine says Miller knocked the front door off its hinges when he kicked it after ringing the doorbell twice.
