PILGER, Neb. (AP) — A Battle Creek man is dead and four others injured following a crash south of Pilger in northeastern Nebraska.
Stanton County Sheriff Mike Unger said 25-year old Marcus Kamrath died in the crash, which happened about 7 p.m. Friday.
Unger says Kamrath was a passenger in a vehicle driven by 25-year Trey Finkral, also of Battle Creek. Unger says Finkral failed to stop at a stop sign and drove into the path of a northbound vehicle driven by 18-year old Joseph Burrows, of Wayne.
Kamrath, who was trapped in the wreckage, was pronounced dead at a Norfolk hospital. Two other passengers also were taken to the hospital.
Finkral was cited on suspicion of driving drunk, and Unger says additional charges could be pending.
