OMAHA, Neb. (AP) — City officials are working on a busy intersection in downtown Omaha affected by a sinkhole and water main break.
The Metropolitan Utilities District says an independent contractor hit a 12-inch water main early Monday morning, causing water to travel several blocks around 20th and Farnam Streets.
The utility crew had been working in the area to repair a sinkhole that formed last week by a leaking pipe.
Workers were brought in to sweep off muddy waters. Lane restrictions are in place.
