OMAHA, Neb. (AP) — The crew member with the TV show “Cops” who was killed in Omaha last month when police opened fire on a robbery suspect will be remembered in a special episode of the show this weekend.
Langley Productions said Monday audio technician Bryce Dion’s work will be featured in an hour-long episode of “Cops” on Spike TV Saturday at 7 p.m. Central.
Dion was killed during an Aug. 26 shooting at a fast-food restaurant on Dodge Street as three officers interrupted an armed robbery. The suspect, Cortez Washington, fired a realistic air gun during the confrontation and officers returned fire.
Dion and Washington were both killed.
Dion was a seven-year veteran of the show. Co-workers say Dion will be remembered for his skill, his smile and his passion for life.
