LEXINGTON, Neb. (AP) — An Overton man has been charged with misdemeanor motor vehicle homicide for a traffic death near Cozad this summer.
44-year-old Troy Olmstead was arraigned Monday on that charge, as well as driving left of center and careless driving, in Dawson County Court. He is accused of causing the June 21 crash that killed 63-year-old Linda Waldon, of Holdrege.
Olmstead and his wife and daughter were injured in the crash.
Olmstead pleaded not guilty to the charges and was released on his own recognizance. His pre-trial hearing was set for Oct. 28.
