VERDIGRE, Neb. (AP) — A man has been taken into custody, suspected of shooting to death a 66-year-old woman in northeast Nebraska’s Knox County.

Linda Privett was shot Monday and pronounced dead at her home in Verdigre (VUR’-dih-gree). Sheriff Don Henery says the 66-year-old man soon was taken into custody. Online court records don’t show that he’s been charged yet.

An autopsy has been scheduled.
