FREMONT, Neb. (AP) — A 58-year-old Fremont man has been arrested for calling 911 to falsely report he’d been shot at.
The incident occurred around 2 a.m. Saturday.
Officers say the man appeared to be intoxicated and was yelling profanities at a business across the street. He later acknowledged the false report and said he’d lied so he could get a quick police response.
He was arrested on suspicion of disorderly conduct and false reporting. Online court records don’t show that he’s been charged yet.
