SIDNEY, Iowa (AP) — A 55-year-old Nebraska man has died in a crash in the southwestern corner of Iowa.
Patrick Tobin, of Tabor, Nebraska, was found dead Friday morning after investigators say his vehicle left the road and crashed in a spillway.
Tobin was pronounced dead around 9:30 a.m. at the scene along a county road in Fremont County.
The Fremont County Sheriff’s office says the crash seems to have happened early Friday, but because of where the vehicle came to rest in water, it was hard to see from the road.
An autopsy will be performed by the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation in Ankeny.
