A North Platte woman was arrested over the weekend after she allegedly ran over her husband.

At around 9:30 a.m., on November 16, deputies with the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office received a report that a man had been run over by a car in the 4600 block of Rodeo Road.

Deputies went to Great Plains Health, where they met with the victim, who was being treated for injuries.

The man told deputies that he and his wife, 24-year-old Bobbi Jo Hartman, got into an argument at a local motel.

According to the victim and witnesses, Hartman left the motel with her children in the vehicle.  Witnesses say the victim held onto Hartman’s vehicle as she left the motel, and continued to hang on as the vehicle drove down Highway 30 at speeds estimated at 50 to 60 mph.

Deputies say, at some point, the victim let go of the vehicle and Hartman drove over his torso.

They say Hartman then took the victim to his brother’s residence, who then took the victim to the hospital.

Hartman was located and placed under arrest for 1st degree assault and felony child abuse.

The children were placed in the custody of the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services.

Authorities say the victim’s injuries were debilitating, but they were not life-threatening.

Hartman is being held at the Lincoln County Detention Center.

The case remains under investigation.
