OMAHA, Neb. (AP) — Authorities say a woman has been seriously injured in an early-morning house fire in Omaha.

Douglas County emergency dispatchers say the woman suffered smoke inhalation and was taken to a local hospital after firefighters were called to the fire in north Omaha around 1:30 a.m. Friday.

Investigators have not declared what caused the fire, but said the blaze may have begun in the home’s kitchen.
