LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) — A Lincoln woman has been given jail time on meth and child abuse charges.
Lancaster County District Judge Andrew Jacobsen sentenced 23-year-old Clara De la Cruz on Monday to 210 days in jail. She is eligible for release after 113 days.
De la Cruz called 911 in June 2013 after her 1-year-old daughter was found unresponsive in an apartment bathtub. The child was hospitalized and survived.
Authorities say drug pipes and marijuana was found in the apartment. State officials removed the child and her 3-year-old sister from the home.
