OMAHA, Neb. (AP) — An eastern Nebraska natural resources district has announced a landowner’s donation that will help improve access to the Elkhorn River
Elkhorn resident Frank Krejci donated 18 acres of land in southwestern Douglas County to the Papio-Missouri River Natural Resources District.
The donation will be used to develop a fourth Elkhorn River access site for recreational users that will also help improve emergency access for first responders.
There is no timeline yet for construction. The new access point will add to others near Bennington, Waterloo and West Dodge Road.
