A 34-year-old Grand Island man is dead, and another is in custody following a shooting at a Gibbon plant.

According to a news release from the Buffalo County Attorney’s Office, law enforcement responded to the report of a shooting at Gibbon Pack, at around 4:54 p.m., on Monday.

Authorities arrived to find a man in the parking lot, who had been shot.  Authorities say the man died at the scene.

A 34-year-old Grand Island man was arrested at the scene in connection with the case.

No names were released, pending the notification of family members.  The investigation is ongoing.

An autopsy has been ordered.
