LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) — A 22-year-old man has been accused of critically injuring his 3-week-old son in Nebraska.

Lincoln police say Koty Buesing was arrested Tuesday on a felony charge of child abuse. Court records do not list an attorney.

Authorities say Buesing broke his son’s skull, causing the baby’s brain to bleed.

Officer Katie Flood says the baby’s mother took the boy to the hospital on Christmas Eve. A doctor eventually told her the boy’s injuries were probably caused by abuse.
