A North Platte man is facing two felony charges after he was busted stealing from a local store.
At around 7:15 p.m., on January 4, North Platte Police responded to Shopko, 510 East Philip Avenue, on the report of a male shoplifter.
Store staff informed officers that they had observed the suspect, 42-year-old Jeffrey Resh, concealing merchandise.
Resh then left the store and attempted to flee from a Shopko employee.
Resh was eventually apprehended, and a search of his person revealed about $55.00 worth of merchandise, and a collection of prescription pills, including Clonazepam and Amphetamine/Dextroamphetamine.
Resh was placed under arrest and transported to the Lincoln County Detention Center.
He’s been charged with felony shoplifting, due to prior convictions, and felony possession of a controlled substance.
