LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) — Nebraska Game and Parks has begun a four-year research project on mountain lions.
Game and Parks plans to place GPS tracking collars on up to 15 mountain lions captured in the Pine Ridge, Wildcat Hills, Niobrara River Valley and elsewhere across the state.
The commission wants to improve population estimates and improve information about possible livestock losses.
People who see or capture images of mountain lions on trail cameras are encouraged to call Game and Parks immediately at 402-471-0641.
