LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) — A Lincoln man has been sentenced to 25 to 35 years in prison for raping and robbing a woman at gunpoint.

28-year-old Emmanuel Cortez Williams was sentenced Wednesday in Lancaster County District Court. He had entered a plea deal to a first-degree sexual assault charge.

A 27-year-old woman says she told Lincoln police that Williams stole money from her on July 22. She says he then held a gun to her head, demanded that she take off her clothes and raped her.

Authorities say they located Williams on July 23 and arrested him. Williams has since been in jail.

During his sentencing hearing, Williams said he apologized for his actions.
