Homestead National Monument to Host Storytelling Festival

homestead-national-monumentBEATRICE, Neb. (AP) — The Homestead National Monument of America has scheduled a storytelling festival this week.

The performances are set for Wednesday and Thursday at the monument’s education and heritage centers. Programs are scheduled at 9:30 a.m., 10:30 a.m., noon and 1 p.m. both days.

The professional storytellers will be Darrin Crow, Tyler Rinne and Rosie Cutrer. Day care children, students, people from senior centers and the general public are encouraged to attend.

Groups of 10 or more interested in attending should call Jesse Bolli at 402-223-3514 to make reservations.

This program is supported by the Nebraska Arts Council and the Nebraska Cultural Endowment.
