Lyle Edward Wolcott, age 70 of North Platte, passed away Thursday March 12, 2015 surrounded by his loving family.

Lyle was born on June 16, 1944 in North Platte to Floyd Ernest and Grace Ethel (Bartrop) Wolcott.  He grew up in North Platte and worked at the Opportunity Center.  He was a gentle man with a big heart, a positive outlook, and made wonderful hot chocolate and toast.  He took life as it was given and made the best of it.

Lyle is survived by his sister Grace Lewis of North Platte; nieces and nephews Kate Hayes of North Platte, Albert (Susan) Lewis of Lincoln, George Lewis of North Platte, Shirley (Scott) Denning of VA, Alea Colburn of Castle Rock, CO, Rosetta (Jim) Barnhill of North Platte, Gracie Blatnick, Ralph Jackson and Joseph Jackson both of North Platte and Donna Wyatt; as well as numerous great and great great nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings Albert Wolcott, George Wolcott, Flora Rose Wolcott, and Leona Jackson; nephews James Jackson and Ronald Wolcott.

Memorials are suggested to the Great Plains Hospice program and online condolences may be shared at www.adamsswanson.com.  Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday March 16, 2015 at Adams and Swanson Funeral Home with Captain Anthony Bauer officiating.  Burial will follow at North Platte Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Sunday March 15, 2015 at Adams and Swanson Funeral Home which is in charge of arrangements.
