Choirs Will Mark Lied Center’s 25th Anniversary with Song

lied-centerLINCOLN, Neb. (AP) — Several top choirs will share the stage Saturday at the Lied Center for Performing Arts to celebrate the Lincoln facility’s 25th anniversary.

The choirs will also present a newly commissioned work called “Let There Be Music” that Nebraska composer Kurt Knecht wrote.

Lied Center executive director Bill Stephan says the performance is a fitting way to celebrate the performing arts center.

More than 250 singers will participate in the show. The choirs include contemporary, gospel, youth, college and adult groups.

Details of the performance are available online at www.liedcenter.org.
