DALTON, Neb. (AP) — A 38-year-old Sidney man has been arrested, accused of leaving the scene of a fatal collision in western Nebraska.
Jeronimo Abel Domingo was taken into custody on Thursday. Online court records don’t list the name of an attorney who could be contacted to comment about the allegations on Domingo’s behalf.
The two-vehicle accident occurred around 9:40 a.m. Tuesday about two miles south of Dalton on U.S. Highway 385. Cheyenne County Sheriff John Jenson says the vehicles made contact as the one driven by Martin Geiger Jr. attempted to pass the other. Geiger’s car ran into a ditch and rolled twice, ejecting Geiger and his passenger, 54-year-old Kathy Berger.
Jenson says Geiger died at the scene and Berger was flown to a Scottsbluff hospital.
