OMAHA, Neb. (AP) — Police say two Omaha officers were injured when the driver of a stolen vehicle attempted to flee a parking lot.
The incident occurred Wednesday night in northwest Omaha when the officers approached the vehicle and tried to take the driver into custody. Police say he started to drive away, striking one officer, dragging another and hitting two other vehicles. One of the officers was able to reach in and put the vehicle into park.
Police identified the driver as 20-year-old Tanner Marcoe, who was booked into Douglas County Jail on suspicion of assault, theft and other crimes. It’s unclear whether Marcoe has an attorney who could be contacted to comment on his behalf.
Marcoe and the officers were treated for minor injuries.
