Paul Hunn, age 82, passed away April 29, 2015 at Linden Court in North Platte, NE. He was born December 19, 1932 in Flandreau, SD to B. D. Hunn and Blanch (Ward) Hunn. They moved to Niobrara, NE and in 1938 to McPherson County where he spent the rest of his life. He graduated from McPherson County High School in Tryon, NE in 1950. He joined the US Navy in 1952 and served his country proudly in the Korean Conflict and was honorably discharged in 1956. He married Karen McClintock on June 20, 1954 and to this union 2 sons were born, Von (Connie), Amy, Keith, and David (Lorie), Sheyenne (Hunn) Sandstrom, and Slade. He had a good sense of humor, was an avid sports fan, and was a faithful blood donor, giving 23 gallons of blood. For 59 years he was a special care giver to his land and livestock; but most important in his life were his wife, sons, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, other family members, and his friends and neighbors.
He was preceded in death by his parents, B. D. and Blanch Hunn, his in-laws David and Audrey McClintock; brother Karl Hunn, sisters Lois Hunn, and Ruth (Hunn) Miller; brothers-in-law Al Miller, and Dennis Barner.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Karen Hunn; his sons Von (Connie) and David (Lorie); grandchildren Amy, Keith, Sheyenne (Mike) Sandstrom, and Slade; sisters Rose Barner, Shirley Miller; nieces, nephews, cousins and other family members.
Memorials are suggested in his name and online condolences may be shared at www.adamsswanson.com. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday May 4, 2015 at Ringgold Free Methodist Church with Pastor Matt Parker officiating. Burial with military honors will follow at Miller Cemetery in Tryon. Visitation will be from noon until 6:00 p.m. Sunday May 3, 2015 at Adams and Swanson Funeral Home which is in charge of arrangements.
