Blackmon, Tulowitzki lead Rockies past Brewers 10-4

colorado-rockiesDENVER (AP) — Charlie Blackmon drove in four runs, Troy Tulowitzki had three RBIs and the Colorado Rockies beat the skidding Milwaukee Brewers 10-4 on Sunday.

Nolan Arenado led off Colorado’s three-run fourth inning with his 17th homer, and the Rockies broke out for their most runs since scoring 11 against St. Louis on June 8. They averaged 3.2 runs in their previous 12 games before Sunday.

All 10 runs came off Matt Garza, who allowed 13 hits for the second straight start.

It wasn’t all good news for the Rockies. Star outfielder Carlos Gonzalez left in the fifth inning with a mild sprain of his left hand. He was injured leaping into the right-field wall trying to catch Ryan Braun’s triple in the fourth. Braun scored on a groundout to pull Milwaukee to 3-2.
