LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) — University of Nebraska-Lincoln police say they haven’t located any suspects in a reported fight on campus in which one person brandished a handgun.
Assistant Police Chief Todd Duncan said Tuesday that the department was still investigating the incident from around 9:45 p.m. Monday on a campus basketball court.
Police sent an alert to students, parents and university employees after receiving the report. Residents in nearby university housing units were told to stay inside, but the alert was lifted about an hour later.
Duncan says police found no fight when they arrived, but witnesses told them it had happened and that one person had flashed a gun.
