The family of missing Alliance resident Jason Berglund announced today that a body discovered by a Colorado hiker has been confirmed to be that of Jason Berglund.

The 18-year-old Berglund disappeared after leaving the University of Nebraska at Kearney on Wed., October 22.

A statewide effort involving social media and area newspapers and radio stations was initiated to find the missing teen.

The Berglund family has no further details, and asks for privacy and prayers during this difficult time.
