Las Vegas – Terran Petteway finished with 11 points in his NBA Summer League debut, but the Atlanta Hawks fell to Denver, 86-71, Friday evening.
Petteway hit 4-of-8 shots from the field, including a pair of 3-points, while also adding a pair of rebounds, two assists and a blocked shot in 21 minutes of work. He was one of three Hawks to finish in double figures on Friday night.
Petteway got Atlanta going early, scoring all five of his first-half points in the opening five minutes as his jumper gave Atlanta a 13-11 lead with 5:29 left in the first quarter. The advantage would be short-lived but Denver closed the first quarter on a 13-2 run and never looked back.

Atlanta returns to action on Sunday night, as the Hawks take on Golden State. Tipoff is at 7:30
UPDATE: Petteway scored 9 points (4-10 FG, 1-5 3FG), 2 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal, 1 blocked shot in Sunday’s 71-70 win for Atlanta over Golden State.
