KEARNEY, Neb. (AP) — Authorities say a 20-year-old O’Neill man has died on Interstate 80 in central Nebraska after losing control of his pickup.

Brady Wakefield was driving westbound around 7 p.m. Sunday about three miles west of Kearney.

Authorities say Wakefield lost control because of a blown tire. The pickup rolled into the median and came to rest in the eastbound passing lane.

A passenger in the truck, 58-year-old Jeff Hoier (HOY-er) of Herman was transported to CHI Health Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney. His condition was not available.
