Las Vegas – For the first time since 2011-12, Terran Petteway came off the bench, as NBA Summer League continued Monday.
Petteway, who started all 63 games at Nebraska during his two-year Husker career, came off the bench in Atlanta’s 84-74 loss to the D-League Select Team. The 6-foot-6 guard/forward last came off the bench during his freshman season at Texas Tech.
Petteway provided a spark for the Hawks in a losing effort, finishing with eight points, four rebounds and a team-high four assists.
During NBA Summer League, Petteway is averaging 9.3 points per game, along with 2.7 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game. Petteway and the Hawks will return to action on Wednesday, as the Hawks (1-2) will begin tournament play.
