North Platte MMA fighter Ryan “Main Event” MacDonald improved to 2-0 in his professional MMA career with a split decision victory over Jorge Serrano at King of the Cage (KOTC): Rumble on the River in Sloan, Iowa on Saturday, August 1. The MacDonald/Serrano fight was part of the main card at the WinneVegas Casino & Resort and did not disappoint, delivering arguably the most action packed fight of the night.
A long list of past and current MMA greats have come through KOTC, including five current UFC title holders. MacDonald hopes to one day add his name to that list as he continues to climb the ranks. His next fight is scheduled for October, more details to come.
Also fighting at KOTC on August 1 were North Platte amateur fighters Martin Sellers and Mark Hooper. Sellers defeated Riley Jensen by 2nd Round KO/TKO and Hooper lost a unanimous decision vs. Carlos Trinidad.
