OCONTO, Neb. (AP) — The annual Nebraska Youth Smallbore Silhouette Invitational is set for next month in Custer County.
The shooting competition is scheduled for Sept. 26 at the Pressey Wildlife Management Area, five miles north of Oconto.
The competition is free and open to all youth age 11 or older who have successfully completed hunter education and have not yet graduated from high school.
Shooters will be grouped in classes according to age, rifle weight, sight type and experience level, and will compete against others in their own class. Trophies or medals will be awarded to the winners of each class.
