Lincoln, Neb.- The Nebraska football team was back at it on Monday afternoon, as the Huskers practiced for just over 90 minutes in half pads outside on the Ed and Joyanne Gass practice fields. NU welcomed back the remainder of its full roster to practice, as the UNL fall semester began on Monday marking the end of Fall Camp.

Nebraska offensive coordinator Danny Langsdorf spoke with the media following Monday’s practice, mentioning that he thought all of the players were in tune with practice, despite having a full day of class before practice.

“I thought it was good today, we were a little worried about that because it is such a change because you are at camp and then all of a sudden you are going to class all day,” Langsdorf said. “I thought the intentions were good and the effort was good.”

“Pretty close, not 100 percent but we are closing in on that. We will have that in the next few days,” Langsdorf said. “We want to get that group to work together as we are focusing on BYU more and more, we want that first group together.”

According to Langsdorf, he was pleased with how Saturday’s scrimmage went, but said that there are still plenty of things to work on before NU’s Sept. 5 season opener against BYU.

“I think some of the blunders we had were with a couple of our backup units, the first team that took the most reps for the most part were good,” he said. “I thought we made some big plays, we did a couple big runs and a couple big throws—actually threw the ball away at times which is better than taking a sack, so I was pleased with that.”
