Janice J. (Ruple) Heimbuch, 80, of North Platte, passed away August 25, 2015 in Lincoln, NE. She was born February 11, 1935 to Paul and Grace (Lee) Ruple in Grand Island. Janice was united in marriage on July 3, 1955 to Virgil Heimbuch in Grand Island, to that union four children were born. In 1972, the family moved to North Platte where she resided until living in Lincoln with her sister, Constance Carey and a special niece, Jean Ells. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Eagles Club, was active in the U.P. Oldtimers Club and enjoyed bowling. She is survived by her children, Bill (Deb) Heimbuch, Sue (Lyle) Yanken both of North Platte, Lisa (Greg) Laehn of Mondovi, WI and Marty Heimbuch of Colorado Springs, CO; a sister, Constance Carey; a brother, Lynn (Kay) Ruple both of Lincoln; 10 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Virgil; three brothers, Bill, Rod and Duane Ruple; and a sister, Phyllis Ruple. Online condolences may be shared at www.carpentermemorial.com. A memorial has been established in her memory. Graveside services will be Friday, August 28th, 2:00 p.m. at Ft. McPherson National Cemetery near Maxwell. Visitation will be 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, at Carpenter Memorial Chapel, which is in charge of arrangements.
