OMAHA, Neb. (AP) — An Omaha man who police say fired one bullet that struck two people has been imprisoned.
Online court records say 21-year-old Dequan Jennings was sentenced on Monday in Douglas County District Court to 25 to 35 years in prison. He’d been convicted in July of two assault charges and one for using a weapon.
Police say Jennings got into a dispute at a party on Nov. 16 and fired after pulling a gun. The bullet passed through one man’s chest and hit another man in an arm.
