The North Platte Community College Lady Knights volleyball team will travel to McCook to participate in the McCook Community College Invitational on Friday and Saturday, August 28-29.
The Lady Knights will start play against Dodge City (Kans.) Community College Lady Conquistadors at 1 pm on Friday. The Lady Conquistadors are 1-4 on the season.
At 3 pm the Lady Knights play the Trinidad State (Colo.) Junior College Lady Trojans. Trinidad is a Region IX Division One program and is 1-3 on the season. Their only win was against Dodge City.
Completing Friday’s action, the Lady Knights will play the Lamar (Colo.) Community College Lady Lopers at 5 pm. The Lady Lopers are also a Region IX Division One program. They are 1-3 on the season.
On Saturday, the Lady Knights begin action early at 9 am against the Eastern Wyoming College Lady Lancers. Eastern defeated the Lady Knights at the Subway Invite this past weekend 3-2. It was a close match with the final match being 15-13 in favor of the Lady Lancers.
The final match of the tournament will be against the McCook Community College Lady Indians at 11 am. The Lady Indians are 0-5 on the season.
The Lady Knights are 0-4 on the season. They are led in kills by Valerie Most with 32 kills. Megan Chintala has 52 digs to lead the Lady Knights.
