Melvin R. Boyles 71, of Mullen, died Tuesday, September 1, 2015 at the Sutherland Care Center.
Melvin Roy Boyles was born in Seneca, NE, November 10, 1943 in the Pokey Crawford house. He was the first child of Robert James Boyles and Zetta Louise Walker Boyles.
In 1960 Melvin met Faye Kidder in Mullen. They were married March 31, 1961 at Mullen Methodist Church. To this union two daughters, Sonja Kay Boyles Peters and Coleen May Boyles Springman were born. David Lee was accepted into this family at the age of 4.
Melvin did many occupations and professions to keep his family fed and the bills paid.
Melvin was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, two daughters, one son and two grandchildren. Also surviving him are two sisters and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral Services will be held at Mullen Assembly of God Church Monday, September 7, 2015 at 10:30 AM MDT in Mullen, NE. Interment will be at the Seneca Cemetery in Seneca, NE.
Memorials are suggested to KJLT Christian Radio or Seneca Cemetery.
Visitation will be Sunday, September 6, 2015 from 1-7 PM MDT at the Mullen Funeral Home which is in charge of arrangements.
