
The North Platte Community College Lady Knights volleyball team had their five game winning streak broken on Tuesday night. They were defeated by the Northeastern Junior College Plainswomen in four sets; 25-22, 21-25, 28-26, 25-19.
The Lady Knights were led by MaKenna Ketter, a Chase County High School graduate, with 14 kills. Valerie Most from Brady added 12 and Jessica Lovitt from Mullen added 10.
Aryn Meisinger, a sophomore from Gothenburg had 19 set assists and Shelby Wolever from Snyder, Colo. added 12.
Megan Chintala, a freshman from Fleming, Colo. had 28 digs and Most added 18.
The Lady Knights, who are now 5-5 on the season, are in action again Wednesday, September 2 at 7 p.m. against Hastings College Junior Varsity at the McDonald-Belton Gymnasium. It is “Elementary Night”. All elementary students, wearing their school’s T-shirt, will be admitted into the game free of charge, along with their family.
