LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) — Officials say enrollment in the University of Nebraska system has risen 1.2 percent over last year to hit a 22-year high of more than 51,800 students.
System administrators said in a news release Tuesday that enrollment for the 2015 fall semester at the four campuses and the Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture is the highest system total since 1993. The agriculture college and the Lincoln and Omaha medical center campuses have set enrollment records, and the University of Nebraska at Omaha has its largest incoming and freshman classes ever.
The Kearney campus reports a decrease of 2.2 percent, however, dropping to an enrollment of more than 6,700.
