AUDIO: NPCC Lady Knights Volleyball to Host Central

npcc vs centralThe North Platte Community College Lady Knights volleyball team will host the Central Community College Lady Raiders on September 17 at 6 pm at the McDonald-Belton Gymnasium located on the South Campus of North Platte Community College.

The Lady Raiders are currently ranked 12th in National Junior College Athletic Association Division II volleyball poll.  They come into the contest with a 10-6 record.  Their last two losses were to number one ranked Parkland College and number five ranked Johnson County Community College.

The Lady Raiders are led in kills by Payton Chohon with 180 kills and 41 stuff blocks.  Morgan Nikkila had 153 kills also.  Alyssa Thege leads Central with 200 defensive digs and Riley Dorn has 602 set assists.

The Lady Knights are 7-9  on the season and are led by Valerie Most with 147 kills.  MaKenna Ketter has 127 kills.  Samantha Morgan and Jessica Lovitt have 41 and 39 stuff blocks respectively to pace the Lady Knights.  Shelby Wolever has 226 set assists and Megan Chintala has 223 defensive digs.

The match is a key Region IX Division II matchup.  Central is currently 1-0 in Region IX by defeating Southeast Community College 3 – 1.

The match is Girl Scout Night and Education Night.  All educators, girl scouts, girl scout leaders, and their families will be admitted into the game free.

The match will be live streamed on www.coachesaid.com if you are unable to make it out to the gymnasium.
