
Lincoln – The Big Ten Conference announced that Nebraska will make a minimum of 13 regular-season appearances on BTN, as the Big Ten Network announced it schedule for the 2015-16 season this week.
The Huskers will make a pair of appearances during non-conference action, taking on Southeastern Louisiana on Nov. 22 and Samford on Dec. 20.
During Big Ten action, 11 of the Huskers’ 18 conference games will be on BTN, starting with the Jan. 2 game against Indiana at Pinnacle Bank Arena. Nebraska’s BTN slate for the upcoming campaign includes both of the Huskers’ matchups with Purdue and Indiana, as well as tilts with Maryland, Michigan State, Wisconsin, Iowa, Minnesota Illinois and Northwestern.
Schedules involving the Big Ten’s other television partners – CBS and ESPN – will be announced in the near future, as all 18 Big Ten games will be carried nationally.
In addition, the Huskers will make six appearances during non-conference play on BTN Plus, which is available on BTN2Go, including the exhibition game against Northern State on Nov. 9, and the season opener against Mississippi Valley State on Nov. 14. The start time versus Mississippi Valley State will be determined when the Husker football start time at Rutgers is announced, but the game will be played in the evening.
During non-conference action, the Huskers will make a minimum of five national TV appearances, including games at Villanova, vs. Miami and at Creighton. In addition, the Huskers will also make an appearance on ESPN3 against Rhode Island on Dec. 13. Television for the two games at the Barclays Classic have not been announced at press time.
In all, each of Nebraska’s 31 regular-season games are expected to be either televised or available online.
