OMAHA, Neb. (AP) — Police are searching for an Omaha woman missing following a home invasion early Tuesday.

Police were called to an apartment in southwestern Omaha just after 12 a.m. Tuesday for a possible shooting. Officers who arrived found three people in the apartment who reported a home-invasion robbery. Police also learned that 33-year-old Tiffanee Trecek had been taken.

Police have arrested a suspect, 26-year-old Terry Stafford, on suspicion of robbery. His case did not appear in online court records by Wednesday afternoon, and it was not clear whether he had an attorney.

A police spokesman, Officer Michael Pecha, said Wednesday that Stafford and Trecek lived together, but not at the apartment from which Trecek disappeared.

Police say they believe Trecek is in danger and are following leads trying to find her.

Omaha Police say Trecek may have died her hair purple shortly before the incident.
