Samantha Morgan named NPCC “Business Student of the Month”

samantha morganSamantha Morgan is North Platte Community College’s “Business Student of the Month” for September.

The Iliff, Colo. native graduated from Caliche High School in 2014. Her parents are Bob and Diane Morgan.

Samantha is currently studying business office technology with a medical emphasis at NPCC. Her plans are to graduate in May with an associate degree then find a job pertaining to her field of study.

Until then, Samantha remains focused on her classes and on her job as a middle blocker for the NPCC Lady Knights Volleyball Team.

“I selected NPCC to play volleyball, and because it’s close to home,” said Morgan. “It’s an amazing opportunity to play at the collegiate level. When I came to the tryouts, [NPCC] immediately felt like home to me. The campus and the coaches made me feel very comfortable. When the first day came around, my freshman year, I was nervous about classes. The business faculty was friendly, encouraging and always available.”

Angie Chittick, business office technology instructor, said Samantha is a reflection of what a true “Business Student of the Month” really is.

“Samantha is very active in volleyball, but does not let her busy schedule conflict with her classes,” said Chittick. “She always has a positive attitude and strong character. Samantha is very conscientious about getting her work done and never complains. Samantha’s work ethic, commitment and excellence in the classroom make her an obvious choice for this award.”

When not studying or playing volleyball, Samantha can be found indulging in her other interests: photography and crafting.
